The story so far
According to the experience provider Truestory, Trolden opened in 2005. It started by brewing beer, and the distillery was added later as a natural development of the brewery. The team says the work is done by hand, with people rather than computers stirring the kettles, and that it aims to keep the tradition of brewing and distilling without compromising on quality.
The range
The distillery's own social profile describes the range as unfiltered specialty beers, single malt whisky and copper pot gin, among other spirits.
Visiting
Trolden runs a two hour tour and whisky tasting in Danish. It covers the history of the distillery, the single malt production from start to finish, a tour of the site and five samples of spirits and whisky. Guests must be 18 or over, and the host suggests arranging a driver.
