Sustainability Promise
Commitment begins 25 October 2026. Status updated 25 October 2026.
From 25 October 2026, we will set aside £1 from each Whisky Clan product sold towards buying land and planting trees.
Starting from zero
At launch, we have not yet made any product sales, so no sales contributions have accrued. The starting contribution total is £0. A public counter is planned and is not yet available. We will update this page as the initiative develops.
How the contribution works
The £1 comes from our sales income and is not an extra checkout charge. It applies per physical product unit sold by Whisky Clan through our website and our own marketplace listings from the start date. Two products generate £2. Purchases from another retailer through an affiliate link are not sales by Whisky Clan and do not qualify. The commitment is a fixed GBP amount, including orders paid in other currencies.
Cancelled or fully refunded product units do not generate a contribution. A replacement provided without a new sale is not counted twice. A partial refund that leaves a completed product sale retains its £1 contribution. Shipping charges and separate donations are not product units. A gift card is counted only when it is redeemed for eligible physical products, rather than when the card itself is bought. Your consumer rights and refunds are not reduced by this initiative.
What we plan to do
Our aim is to build up funds to buy suitable land and plant and care for trees, starting in the UK. Finding land, assessing local ecology, obtaining any necessary permissions and arranging long-term care are later stages. Expansion into other countries is a longer-term ambition, not an established project.
A purchase does not mean that a tree is planted immediately. We do not promise a fixed number of trees per product, a land-purchase date or a particular carbon saving. We do not claim that our products are carbon neutral or that this initiative offsets their emissions.
Management and transparency
Creatos Media Ltd manages the commitment. “Whisky Clan Forest Fund” is the initiative’s name, not a registered charity, independent trust or regulated investment fund. Customers do not acquire shares, an investment return or ownership of land.
We will distinguish sales contributions accrued, money actually set aside, project spending and completed outcomes in our updates. We will explain the proposed land ownership, project costs and delivery arrangements before making a land purchase or appointing planting partners. Any material change to the plan will be explained publicly; money already committed will not silently be diverted to an unrelated purpose.
