Competition and Giveaway Terms

Whisky Clan promotions are organised by Creatos Media Ltd (company 11621134), registered office 102-105 Lichfield Street, Tamworth, United Kingdom, B79 7QB. Contact info@whisky-clan.com. These general terms apply alongside the rules published for each promotion. They do not announce an active promotion.
Read the individual promotion rules
Each promotion will state its opening and closing dates and time zone, eligible countries, minimum age, entry method and limits, prize and quantity, selection process, notification and claim deadlines, and delivery arrangements. Any material restrictions, costs and photo requirements will be disclosed before entry. Specific rules take priority where they expressly differ from these general terms, subject to applicable law. These terms do not authorise paid-entry schemes.
Age and eligibility
Entrants must be at least 18 and meet any higher age requirement stated for their country or the prize. Alcohol prizes require the applicable local legal drinking and receiving age, including 21 where required. Only residents of countries expressly listed for that promotion may enter. Employees directly involved in administering the promotion and their immediate households are excluded. No entry is valid where participation or fulfilment is prohibited by law.
We may reasonably verify age, identity, residence and compliance before confirming an award. A tick-box is not a substitute for necessary verification. If identification is needed, we will explain the secure method, information required and retention period. Do not send identity documents through public comments or social-media messages. An adult signature or age check may also be required on delivery.
Entry and fair administration
Follow the advertised entry method and limit. We may exclude entries supported by evidence of impersonation, fraud, prohibited automation, manipulation or material breach of the published rules. We will apply these rules consistently and consider explanations. We will not reject an otherwise valid entry merely because it criticises us. Where an entry includes creative work, you must have the rights needed to submit it.
Draws will use a demonstrably random process or independent supervision. Judged competitions will use the advertised criteria and an independent judge or panel member. We will retain evidence of the award process. Winners will be contacted through the method and within the period stated in the promotion, with reasonable attempts to reach them. A replacement winner may be selected using the original method if the first winner is ineligible, declines, or fails to respond within the clearly advertised reasonable deadline after those attempts.
Prizes and international delivery
Country eligibility and foreseeable delivery limitations will be checked before launch. If an unforeseen availability, legal or shipping restriction prevents supply of the advertised prize, we may arrange a suitable substitute of equal or greater value, discussing the alternative with the winner. Any planned country-specific alternative will be described upfront. We will not substitute a materially inferior prize merely to reduce costs. Prizes cannot be exchanged on demand for cash unless the promotion offers that option. Delivery charges, taxes or other winner costs, if any, must be clearly disclosed before entry; we will not introduce surprise charges to release a prize.
Changes, suspension and cancellation
We may exceptionally amend or suspend a promotion where necessary because of circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as a serious security incident or legal restriction. A closing date may be extended only where unavoidable circumstances outside our control make this necessary and entrants are not disadvantaged, or retaining the date would be unfair to those seeking to enter under the original rules. Changes must be proportionate, fair and consistent with applicable rules; we will explain them to affected entrants. Cancellation is a last resort where lawful and necessary, with existing prize obligations and fair alternatives considered. Low entry numbers alone do not entitle us to cancel, extend a deadline or withhold an advertised prize.
Winner announcement and prize photo
We intend to announce winners using their first name, surname initial and city, for example “Alex S., Leeds”, on our website and social channels. This will be explained before entry. You may object or ask us to reduce the identifying detail by contacting us, without automatically losing your prize. We will still keep evidence that a valid award took place and supply information to the ASA where required. Any further disclosure will take account of applicable rules and privacy rights.
Where stated prominently in the individual promotion, winners are asked to send a clear photo of the delivered prize within 14 days of receipt, or an agreed extension. The photo can show the prize alone: no face, person, home interior, address label or identification document is required. Please use your own photo and exclude other people's personal information. Tell us if disability, access or privacy concerns make this difficult so we can agree another reasonable way to confirm receipt.
By supplying a prize photo for publication, you give Creatos Media Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to reproduce it on Whisky Clan's website and social accounts to report and promote the giveaway. You retain ownership. We may resize or crop it without misleadingly altering it. This permission does not cover unrelated advertising, sale of the image or an implied personal endorsement. Contact us about future use or removal from channels we control; we cannot guarantee removal of copies already shared by others. Objection to personal publicity will not by itself cause forfeiture.
Personal information and communications
We use your name, email, country and age confirmation to administer entry, contact winners and check eligibility. A winner must provide a delivery name and address, and a contact number only if needed by the courier. We do not require every entrant's full postal address. Necessary details may be shared with the prize supplier, courier or verification provider. We will explain any additional provider and retention details when collecting information. Administration and proportionate fraud prevention rely on the applicable contractual and legitimate-interest bases described in our Privacy Policy; legal obligations apply where relevant. Marketing subscription is a separate choice and is not implied by entry.
Questions and platform independence
Contact info@whisky-clan.com with questions or complaints. A promotion is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by a social platform unless expressly stated. Additional platform-specific terms will accompany promotions run there. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer or data-protection rights or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. The laws of England and Wales apply subject to any mandatory protection and court rights available in your country of residence.
