Where it is

The distillery is in Battersea, south London. It was founded by Katherine and Braden Saunders, according to Whisky Magazine (24 September 2025).

How it began

The distillery was established in September 2016. It took a further 12 months to build and commission the plant. The first release, Renegade Gin, came in September 2017.

How it is made

  • Grain is malted barley collected from farms in Norfolk and milled on site

  • Mashing takes about half a day, followed by three to four days of fermentation

  • The site has a full brewery, a fermentation area and a stillhouse with a 21 metre vodka fractionating column

  • For whisky, two pot distillations are run one after another before the spirit goes into barrel

The whiskey

Doghouse makes American style corn whisky under the Debt Collector name, sold as unaged moonshine and as one year cask aged moonshine. Its range also includes vodka, gin and an aperitivo.
