History and current status
The family designed a bespoke pot and column still, with Marcus and Cain Cole involved in distillation. The whisky uses water from a well and is matured for more than five years in ex-bourbon barrels, according to the producer.
Whisky distillation, provenance and maturation
Coles Single Malt Welsh Whisky is an identifiable Welsh whisky and the family's website highlights the Single Malt Welsh Whisky geographical indication. Different bottlings can have different ages and finishes.
Whisky bottles and ranges
Bottles are named only where independently identifiable. Whisky offered by a business may be sourced or blended elsewhere, and the region on a label does not necessarily show where distillation occurred.

This named release is associated with the company; confirm its edition, cask, strength and production source from the bottle label.

Awards and milestones
Only verified, named whisky bottlings should be credited with tasting awards. Site openings, redevelopment and changes of ownership are historical milestones, not medals.
