Ross & Squibb Distillery is listed in the Whisky Clan Distilleries collection as a distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, in the United States.

Names and ownership

MGP says it began in 1941 as a small grainbelt distillery operation. Its Lawrenceburg, Indiana distillery was renamed Ross and Squibb Distillery, and a Garden and Gun post says it was known as MGP between 2011 and 2021 and as LDI before that.

  • Tradition: an MGP release quotes master distiller Ian Stirsman on a rye whiskey tradition dating to 1847

  • Role: it supplies bourbon and rye to many other whiskey brands

  • 2024: Robb Report reported MGP was scaling back whiskey production
