History
Battery Point Distillery was founded in 2018 by the owners of Lenna of Hobart.
Founding distiller Jack Lark helped establish the whisky programme; head distiller Luke Lawrence now oversees production.
The distillery has developed a deliberately small-batch model built around individual casks and combinations of cask types.
Production
Whisky is double-distilled in small quantities from 100% Tasmanian malt mash and Tasmanian water.
The producer highlights vintage Spanish sherry, tawny and port casks alongside bourbon casks.
Single, double and triple-cask ageing are used to create different expressions.
