The story
The brand page says everything in Texas is big and so were the dreams. Balcones began as a pipe dream to create an original, authentic whiskey from the heart of Texas, and set up in a humble welding shop in Waco. The distillery says it quickly made waves by crafting the first Texas whisky since Prohibition and by helping establish the American single malt category.
Today the distillery sits in downtown Waco in a red brick industrial building with a red water tower beside it. Tours cover the process from working with blue corn to ageing in the Texas heat.
