The story
Lincoln Henderson spent nearly 40 years at Brown-Forman, co-creating brands including Woodford Reserve and Gentleman Jack. Angel's Envy was his only independent project, and it gave rise to its port finish. He died in 2013, before the distillery opened its doors. His final project was Angel's Envy Cask Strength Bourbon 2013.
The name plays on the angel's share, the whiskey lost to evaporation during aging. A barrel can lose up to 5% of its content. After tasting his whiskey, Henderson joked he had struck a better deal than the angels.
