Radico Khaitan and Rampur

The Whisky Exchange Whisky Show describes Radico Khaitan, the company behind Rampur whisky, as India's oldest and biggest spirits producer. Its history dates to 1943, and the Khaitan family bought the distillery in 1972. The distillery is named after its home town in northern India, in the foothills of the Himalayas, where the show says the larger seasonal temperature swings affect maturation.
