History and production
Founding and first releases
Deerhammer Distilling Co. is at 321 E. Main St. in Buena Vista, Colorado. A 2013 interview introduces co-founder Lenny Eckstein as a graphic designer and home brewer who turned to craft distilling. Friendly Whiskey reports its first product, Down Time, debuted in August 2012, with a full release in December 2012 that sold out across Colorado.
