What was reported
November 2016: WhiskyExperts, citing the Press and Journal, reported that Ardross Investments Ltd had submitted plans for the distillery.
The plans described a capacity of 1 million litres of alcohol a year, jobs for up to 15 people, and a visitor centre with views over Loch Dubh, plus warehouses and offices.
The 2016 report expected completion in 2018, and said early public objections about access roads had been answered by a change to the plans.
Retailer pages from whic now say Ardross is expected to present its first single malt bottlings in 2027.
